This Tropical Turmeric Smoothie has the anti-inflammatory health benefits of Golden Milk thanks to the inclusion of fresh turmeric root. But it also has a vitamin boost courtesy of the fresh and plentiful fruit & veg blitzed in.
Bright, cheerful and loaded with goodness. This anti-inflammatory Tropical Turmeric Smoothie will ward of colds and flu throughout the year
Tropical seemed an obvious theme to base this smoothie on since turmeric is a dazzling shade of golden orange and tropical makes me think of golden sun, golden sands and golden mango. Sticking with the tropical, I’ve added coconut water, pineapple and allspice – one of the most commonly used spices in Caribbean cuisine.
Confession: whenever I hear ‘Tropical’ I automatically think of Malibu rum. I think I did well to resist adding a squirt to this healthy smoothie.
Health benefits aside, a glassful of this Tropical Turmeric Smoothie offers up plenty of punchy flavour. The sweet mango and pineapple offset the spices beautifully to create a fabulously vibrant drink. And, let’s face it, that colour is really quite impressive.
